SCOSA Member Benefits

SCOSA is the principal membership organisation for UK Schools of Architecture, currently with 66 institutional members.

Member institutions can access the following benefits each year:

  • Free attendance at two in-person conferences each year for up to 3 members of staff from each member institution.  This includes free food and beverages during the event. (Hold the date: the next in-person conference will be on 23rd-24th April in York).

  • Access to the annual SCOSA awards, which recognise excellence in UK Architectural education (SCOSA Awards | Scosa).

  • Participation in the SCOSA Working Group network which addresses specific issues within Architectural Education and access to the outputs of the working groups (Home | SCOSA).

  • Access to the SCOSA mentoring scheme which offers mentor and mentee opportunities across institutions within the UK (SCOSA Mentors | SCOSA).

  • Access to the summer on-line SCOSA meeting, which is open to all staff in member institutions.

  • Direct engagement with professional and regulatory bodies as the UK’s principal representative body for UK Architectural education.   SCOSA holds quarterly liaison meetings with both RIBA and ARB and meets with other stakeholder groups in addition.
