Lorraine is Professor of Architecture at the University of Reading and has been Head of Architecture since 2016 when she set up the new School of Architecture .

She was on SCOSA council from 2014- 2019 and Chair from 2019. Lorraine is chair of the RIBA new courses group and examines at Schools of Architecture nationally and internationally.
